I also specialise in Trumpet Music Wedding Ceremonies.
Traditionally brides like to walk down the isle to a rousing piece such as the Purcell's Trumpet Voluntary.
Too often people opt to have this played on just the organ.
Have a listen to the demo clips online and judge for yourself the value and impact of the trumpet.

My preferred choice of pieces to play at weddings are listed below and I will
shortly be adding recordings of myself playing them to help you with your choice.
I have only included a selection of Traditional Wedding Music...
If you have a particular piece / hymn in mind that you would like, get in touch and ask...
I'm sure I can find it for you!
All of the pieces can be adapted to suit the ocassion.
(This is particularly useful when judging length of isle and how fast to walk etc...)

I tend to recommend to the happy couple that they use the trumpet to play the bride
down the isle
at the start of the ceremony, and at the end to play the newlyweds out.
Trumpet Tune (Henry Purcell)
(Entrance or Exit)
Trumpet Voluntary / Rondeau (Jeremiah Clarke)
(Usually for the Bride's Entrance)
Trumpet Voluntary (John Stanley)
(Entrance or Exit)
Rondeau from Te Deum (Marc-Antoine Charpentier)
(Usually for the Exit to mark the end of the Ceremony)
Hornpipe from 'Water Music' (J. F. Handel)
(Usually for the Exit to mark the end of the Ceremony)

The trumpet can also be used during the hymns.
For the best effect I tend to play on the last verse to give the hymns a bit of a lift.
Traditionally, congregations at weddings do not tend to sing loudly (sometimes not at all!).
The trumpet can help mask this fact and give those shy guests something to hide behind...!
Sometimes if everything seems a little quiet and uncomfortable I will join in with the tune.

How much do you charge...?
Fees vary dependant on the work needed. Playing one piece at the start would be the cheapest option. Costs increase when major adaptations of pieces need to be done or when I need to write out parts for new pieces etc...
The best thing would be to get in touch detailing your requirements and I will get back to you with a quote.
...............................
Do I need to find an organist...?
This depends on how much trumpet work you want in the ceremony.
Most organists are familer with the examples on this website. However, at least one rehearsal would be necessary prior to the service. I tend to do this an hour or so before the ceremony begins to avoid additional travelling expenses.
I can find an organist for you, however there will naturally be additional costs for this.
...............................
Can you play something during the signing of the register...?
Most people tend to opt for the traditional background organ music.
However, I can play during this time to provide background music.
This will increase costs as additional preparation and rehearsals would need to take place.
I cannot guarantee being able to play everything, but if you have any requests, include them when you contact me.
...............................
What area do you cover...?
I am based in the Stockport area of Greater Manchester.
I generally cover the Greater Manchester / Cheshire area of the North West, however, I am willing
to travel further afield to play. Costs for this would increase due to additional travel expenses.
Make sure you tell me where the wedding is when you contact me so I can give you an accurate quotation.
